Under seed multiplication, PRIDE is supporting farmers in the scheme catchment areas to generate more seed for their farming initiatives and commercial purposes. Lucy Paipi of Sub Traditional Authority Nkapita in Zomba district is one of the beneficiary farmers. “Getting seed for sorghum has always been a challenge in our area. I am grateful to PRIDE for providing me with the seeds. I hope to produce more for myself and sell to farmers within this area,” said Paipi. Sorghum is drought-resistant and therefore a reliable option in lean periods.
